"Booked a trip for 6, most of us had minimal fishing experience. Staff is awesome at answering any questions before booking, and we couldn't have had a better experience! Rooms in the cabin were great with 2 beds per room, food was excellent at the restaurant. Our guide, Hunter was awesome and we all caught plenty of great walleye, sauger and large perch. I would highly recommend the meal plan. You literally don't need to pack anything except clothes and..."

"Can’t say enough good things about this place. Staff is great, food is good, and the captains are awesome. The rooms are nothing too special, but clean and well kept. Would recommend to anyone."
"Summer fishing experience was fun and relaxing: good resort food, clean comfortable lodging and felt safe in fishing boats. Two days, two different guides--one young, one older-- both had such helpful, hospitable personalities. Recommend adventure even for a first time fishing experience. Children for the length of day on water maybe need to be 9+ -- there are enough fish caught they would not be bored. 4 stars marked on rooms and location as had no prior experience with resorts."
"I’m from Mississippi and knew absolutely nothing about ice fishing before this trip, but I do know a good time—and that’s exactly what Ballard’s delivers. The entire staff, from the bartenders to the office clerks, were polite, helpful, and just genuinely happy to be there. The rooms had also been recently renovated and were really nice. My wife and I ended up catching around 30 fish while we were there. Most were smaller, but I caught one that was 21..."
"Incredibly well run by exceptional folks. I went by myself and they were more than accommodating and helpful. The guilds are amazing! They put you on fish and work hard to get your limits! The food and service are second to none! Can't think of anything they could do differently."
"We had a fantastic time fishing, we caught Walleye and saugers the guides would check on us, the first day Ben came to check on us while we were in the middle of a catching fish frenzie. Ben helped us bait and get the fish off while telling us stories about how he got to be at the resort it was great. Everyone was pleasant and happy including our waitress we had a great time as well with our other..."
